I feel like am still in the Philippines. We did some yard work when a neighbor came by and we were introduced, then came another neighbor from work... they were saying like..." is she the lady that is coming?" hahaha... surprised me :-)

Roads are wider and no annoying traffic. Parking lot is bigger than the Mall. Here in our place, tow trucks are more than taxi cabs. Lots of over weight people. No street vendors.

Not my first impression but these are impressive!

All vehicles stop when a school bus drops and picks up kids.

All vehicles pulled over on the side of the road to give way to an emergency.

Fire fighters/life savers act quickly when there is a fire or has to save life.

Vehicles stop to give respect to funerals, even when traffic lights are green in the intersections.

For me, these are awesome!

oops, one more thing, i have to step on my breaks everytime i see cops.

For me nothin really for me, I am already been reading and watching on TV about this country... This is the same planet, people are still people...

What amazed me is that... I never thought that my husband can climb up the roof and fix it... why that amazed me, because I knew him as an office man who knows nothing but drawing and his hand is so soft that I will never thougjht knows how to use a hammer...

Here in NC nobody walks on the street or road unless you run out of gas wink.gif everyone uses their car and BUS have time schedule, when i see an accident on the road no people will crowd the place unlike in the philippnes, Its really a big difference for me cause i was born and raised in Quezon City where the heart of traffic is and people walk all the time (i miss that though)

Im impressed how discipline people are on driving, when they see Stop sign, even if there's no car, they will really stop... but what struck me is Car malls are always on Sale... and the store looks like a parking lot.. while in phils, cars are always on display inside glass walls! laugh.gif Lots of fat people around, esp in supermarkets... but they're all nice... No security guards everywhere... and of course, i love the double double In & Out Burger, yummy!

traffic here in LA is not around in any corner here. So impressed with the clean and green.

I just don't like the food. My stomache can't accept it. My fiance is worried coz I'm saying I'm gonna die. I just drink water at all times.

Hope I would be able to get used to the foods here soon.

Good for you Ron but most American men weren't raised on fish, rice, camote, malunggay and ampalaya leaves.
If you eat ampalaya leaves and enjoy them you are my hero!
Our taste buds just weren't acclimated to some Filipino foods and Filipinos taste buds weren't acclimated to our foods also.
Lots of puti don't even like to smell garlic and vinegar cooking!
Americans like their pot roast, gravy, peas and mashed potatoes for dinner and Ham and eggs, pancakes and toast for breakfast.
Few puti unless they were raised in Hawaii even like rice or eat fish for breakfast!
Plus the vegetables in America are mostly plastic and loaded with chemicals of ALL kinds and don't taste the same as the same species in the Philippines.
They probably can make someone from the provinces sick if they were accustomed eating home grown ones all their lives and not loaded with pesticides, preservatives and coloring agents.!
