I can speak a little Tagalog, which makes my girlfriend happy, but you should see her eyes light up when I use an Ilocano phrase for her.

Bearing that in mind, can someone (sensibly) translate the following for me because I know it would be so special for her.

"Rosie, I want to be with you forever, will you marry me?"

Thanks in advance (oh, and I'm intending on asking in one weeks time, so a quick response would be great) :)

Kayat ko na ikasarar ka ...ngamin ai ai yaten ka .. :D

The rough translation is
i want to marry you, because I love you.

Hi Patrict,

I know you propose already to your girlfriend/fiancee. Just remember the thoughts back time with me and hubby :-).

To translate your english proposal into Ilocano.

"Rosie, kayat ko a makadua/makadenna ka iti tungpal biag, pakasarannak kadi?"

Best Wishes to both of you...
