Consider rolling your own, try Bugler. Strong cigarette tobacco, my father use to smoke them so strong he is dead now. ohmy.gif

It came to me that every time
I lose a dog,
they take a piece of my heart with them.

And every new dog
who comes into my life
gifts me with a piece of their heart.

If I live long enough,
all the components of my heart will be dog,
and I will become
as generous and loving as they are.

Biko welcome to our home Sept. 18, 2010

Hi tom,
Nice to see you here at WOF.
How are Vella and the twins?

For those who don't know Tom and Vella, they are good friends of Ainee and me and just had a great pair of twins. Congratulations!

Tell ya what Tom..I smoke TOP roll your own,,,and it is time to quit. It is a useless, senseless way to die..so why don't ya join me in quitting...so your pinay doesn't have to kiss an ashtray, and you live longer to love her. If your up for the challenge..no B.S. I will be your ally to quit for good..anybody else feel like quitting? I also challenge anyone to donate to WOF... biggrin.gif

Well Tom, I hope you stop in here on a regular basis outside the cig subject.....hahahaha! I'm sure you could add some useful dialogue to this group, especially about living in the Philippines as an expat.

We really enjoyed our time there with you and Vella and I always think of the noon time drinks at Bedida's across from Ormocnet while Ainee was at work.

Well just a bit of tounge in cheek perversion.....I'm sure the response wasn't well taken by tomvil not insult intended either. Just trying to send a wake up call on how addictive smokes can be, plus having a double header in the kiddie dept. he needs to hang around a while.

Been there done that only way I was able to quit was cold turkey and that was back in 1987, so it can be done.

EASY to quit when you end up breathing thru tubes and tubes feeding you after you end up in the hospital with cancer or emphasema.
No holes left to put a cancer stick to puff on.

Been thru it all. So far I just ended up with plugged arteries and a couple anuerisms.
One minor stroke naman.
No fair for the kids if pops or mom goes belly up when the kids are young because of something preventable like smoking and end up with one parent.

ANYONE that smokes that has young kids is "to me" a COMPLETE jerk. Yeah Obama also.
Yeah I was a JERK for awhile but when my anak and wife got off the plane I quit smoking .

I'm no doubt still a jerk in other ways. At least I won't bring harm to my family because of smoking anymore.

I smoked Marlboro for 33 years. I had quit for 2 years before I went to the Phils although I was smoking cigars. When I got there I couldn't find any decent cigars and I couldn't believe how cheap the cigs were. I had brought a couple cartons to give away as gifts and ended up smoking some myself and it wasn't long til I was addicted again. I'm happy to say that I was able to give them up again since returning.

I do love tobacco though. I'm currently smoking a pipe. It has it's risks too, but at least my lungs are happy these days.

Good luck blujay! Those cigs will getcha sooner or later. A pipe or even cigars are are better than the evil cig. Pipe tobacco is dirt cheap too. Relatively speaking that is.

I still love the Cigars and as infrequently as I smoke those I don't think there is much to worry about. I did look a cigars in PI and was surprised at how relatively expensive they were there.

There's a new tobacco kiosk at the Mall of Asia with a surprising variety of choices so will check the next week when we're back in Manila. If I find them the easiest way is either Allied ABnk Direct Deposit or Western Union. It might not be cheap as this English guest of ours paid P300 for a pack of rolling tobacco ( ouch! ) . In Ermita there's also a tabacco shop and I'm fairly sure i have seen Camels or Pal Mall non filter cigs before so can check it out for you. My Cell 0922-841-5540 so remind me by text.

If once we accomplish this the first time then it will be easy for me to delegate it to our staff or maybe even better you and the shop can manage it directly.
