Next, your case will be forwarded to the National Vias Center (NVC). Two weeks after you receive the NOA2 you can contact the NVC to see if they have received your approved I-129. Then, your case will be forwarded by the NVC to the US Embassy in Manila. Normally takes 3-5 days. At that time you can call the embassy to see if you have a case number yet. Usually within a week after the embassy receives it, they will send the forms and checklist to your finacee. She will then complete and mail some of the forms back to the embassy. Then they will notify her of her medical and interview dates. You can view more here. or check out out timeline.

The Embassy does not send forms anymore.

Go to this link and all information is there, including link to the forms: K1 Requirements for US Embassy Manila

I suggest you have all these requirements as soon as possible cause the interview can be schedule as soon as couple of weeks after you have the case in Manila.

Congrats,

Carlos.

My NVC took about a week to have the letter with the case number, but I was not rushing.
Then a week later I scheduled the interview.
I am sure I could have done quickly, by calling NVC and calling to schedule the interview few days later.

Unless she has all the docs from both of you, I would concentrate on the requirements. IMHO.

Cheers

Carlos.

I guess I have the same question.

My fiance got our NOA2 by mail last April 16. He got another letter from NVC with our case number last April 23. My question is, do i have to wait for the letter from the USEM for me to schedule my medical appointment? Or do we need to call NVC or DOS to check the status of our case? I'm not sure if NVC sent it to USEM already. I still need to get some requirements for my late registered BC, my fiance is coming over here on May 16 and he will give me his affidavit of support. And another question, I have gotten my CENOMAR last Dec. 19, will that be valid after 5months or do i have to get another copy of CENOMAR? Is it ok if I schedule my medical and interview on June?

Thanks!

Sometimes case no. is not yet ready at USEM. u can wait ur letter from USEM that ur case is eligible for interview and u will be given what no.'s to call and websites for requirements (fees, forms and etc.. )needed for interview. there is no packet 3 send to u anymore, once u r already scheduled ur interview u will recieved a confirmation thru email, print it and bring it for ur medical prior to ur interview of course. the sooner the better. about CENOMAR.... im not sure but i heard valid only until 6 months. better get a new one.
any month u want before ur case expired.

My fiance just called DOS today and they told him that the visa package was sent to Manila embassy already and it was received by them, and that is all the info they have. They could not tell him when the appointment will be scheduled. When I try to check for my case number on the appointment list, it says not found. I guess I just have to wait. Just being impatient.. smile.gif

My fiance just called DOS today and they told him that the visa package was sent to Manila embassy already and it was received by them, and that is all the info they have. They could not tell him when the appointment will be scheduled. When I try to check for my case number on the appointment list, it says not found. I guess I just have to wait. Just being impatient.. smile.gif

Can i schedule my medical exam on June 1 and 2 and my interview on June 9? Will they accept it?

Hello congradulations. tongue.gif

On April 12, 2009 I got the e-mail showing NAO2 approval. I waited 2 long weeks and
called NVC to verify they we're done with the application, and had forwarded it to Manila.
They said yes it had 4 days earlier. I asked them for the MNL case #. They gave it to me.

I waited 1 more week to allow time for Manila to get it then called to make my Fiancee's
appointment. They made her appoiontment for 1 month from when i called was the earliest
available.

Not bad though she has appointment 2 month's after NAO2 approval. When you call to make
the appointment be sure to have all your information with you. They ask you questions on the
phone for verification. Names, address's, phone number's, birth dates, for both of you.

Good Luck,
Charles
IT IS NOT WHAT YOU HAVE IN YOUR LIFE BUT WHO YOU HAVE IN YOUR LIFE THAT COUNTS:-)
