Without the NBI they will put you on AR. Once you have the NBI you will need to present it. (Best in person if possible). I think you might expect a 30 day delay. Don't fret. My fiancee was married and they asked for NBI in her married name as well as the one she presented. We are now waiting for the visa's. We have been working on this for 5 years including annulment. A month is a very short time.

7 days left before your interview, hmmm I don't think you can make it but maybe you can ask favor to the OIC there to rush the issuance of your NBI Clearance, why you went there too late? was that your first time to apply for NBI clearance.. This is why I had my clearance when I knew I was Approved. mellow.gif

Nobody wants to be on AR. I would have wanted my fiancee here many years ago. I have learned patients and persaverance. Her interview was April 1. We will not book the flights until the visa's are in hand.......(she has two kids also). I have learned the system will have some delays......best to wait for confirmation.

The advice of asking favor to get fast is the only one I know. Keep in mind that to reschedule takes 2 months.......so probably better to go to interview and be on AR than try to reschedule ur interview.

on filing up the form what should the purpose written there?does it have specifics or just for "fiancee visa" alone?because that is the purpose I've written there,is it to early for me to get my NBI clearance,me and my fiance had filed our petition already just a week ago and i got my NBI clearance for just one day,i didnt have any problem about it..can i still use it when my interview date comes?or should i get a latest one because its validity is one year.

I wonder if an interview delay can be requested.
That could give you time for the clearance and perhaps avoiding the AR.
I have no clue about this option, they might schedule you for next month so taking the AR might be better.
I also wonder if in Phils things can get done faster depending on some "factors".
Where I come from knowing someone inside either directly or through a friend make things going way faster.
I hope all goes well.

Cheers,

Carlos.

The NBI has no specific purpose yet they have color and validity descriptions, green cert has statement as valid for travel abroad, orange are for employment in the country. I believe your NBI is still good that you have it now, because it's valid for 1 year so u can still use it on your interview smile.gif

Speaking of AR, many interviewees recently are put in AR for document verification and they submitted complete documents. I think other way around doesn't really make a difference. mellow.gif

If this is true, and I think it is, for me is a no brainer. Go to Manila 2 to 3 days before the interview and get it done.

I think the one day is correct if in Manila, I can ask my fiancee, the nature of her work requires a NBI (scary huh?), and she lives in Manila.

Cheers,

Carlos.

hi. here's my suggestion. Go to NBI, make a letter stating the reason that you need it before your interview. present your letter of interview, have a copy and give one to them. they'll be nice and willing to help you. it happened when i was at NSO and they are supposed to released my CENOMAR on the exact date of my interview and i just requested them to be considerate. just be there early and ask for a contact person, coordinate directly with the officers there at NBI. do this rather than be on AR. i will ask who you can contact from NBI.. where you from? Manila or Quezon City?

you'll be asked during interview with your NBI, if you can't present that then it will cause delay on your visa approval. act now rather than be sorry in the end. make sure you have all the documents needed with you on your interview date.

goodluck and God bless.

yes, NBI will be released on the day itself if not hit, meaning you don't have a namesake who has a case. I got my BI on the day itself that I requested for it. that's why it will take 10 days (2 weeks) for it to be released again to limeprincess because she got HIT.
