Hope this is the proper thread for my questions on shipping out of the Philippines. I didn't really see thread regarding leaving the Philippines. Off Topic didn't seem to fit so here I am.

I have lived in the Philippines for about four years and seven months. It has become very clear to me that it is time for me to go home....and as soon as possible. Before heading home, my wife has some immigration process she has to deal with. This process could take some time so we have decided to move to Manila (close to the US Embassy) for the duration.

Before leaving for Manila I would like to ship our house hold goods back to my home in the US. It was very easy and fairly inexpensive to ship our things here in the Philippines from the US but it is becoming hard learned that the opposite is not going to be so easy. At least with what we know so far.

We used Forex to ship our things here but they (as far as I know) only go one way, US to the Philippines. It is proving to be just about impossible to find a company that ships from the Philippines to the US.

We currently live in Davao City, Philippines and need information on a shipping/cargo company that can handle our things and ship them either to Los Angeles or all the way to Riverside, California. As of now, I am not considering DHL, FEDEX, UPS or any of the more well known shipping companies. Their prices are way to high and large items seem to be a problem for them.

Any positive help will be greatly appreciated!

I have never used them, nor do I know anyone that has but take a look at: http://manilaforward...m/imexport.html

Medical Exams – A caller explained that the civil surgeon who completed the medical exam used the wrong form and then wanted to charge an indigent refugee to reprocess the paperwork on the correct form. What recourse does an applicant have if this occurs?

USCIS Response: Customers should notify the Director of their local office when they have a complaint about a civil surgeon.
