Hi CleoGrismer!
yeah..it was really a great experienced when we had a vacation there last 2004, because after 30 years, I finally had a chance to visit my aunts and uncles and meet my cousins. We did not waste a time there because we always went to the beach which is a trike ride from my father's hometown, and also visited some of my aunt's friends and ate because they were celebrating a fiesta there.

Yes mag eenjoy ka talaga sa mga beaches doon, and lalo fiesta pa masaya talaga yon and i think all your relatives there were happy to see you too smile.gif

I've looked extensively for resources for learning Bicol but there are almost none. They will be impressed if you learn Tagalog. Also if you learn some basic Spanish. Bicolanas understand a great deal of Spanish, I think Cleo did not really know how much Spanish she knew until she came here to America and could understand almost all the stuff posted on the Mexican restaurant signs and stores that I couldn't read.

Note that Bicol combines a fair amount of Tagalot and Spanish (with different spellings), and adds a number of words of its own. Since Bicol is only spoken in the area around Naga City resources are scarce.

Some resources I've found:
