Do you have to go to Quezon City or can you go to the other branches they list online?
Also if you request it in Quezon City it's not instant, is it? I assume you would have to wait a while to pick it up in person?

Do you have to go to Quezon City or can you go to the other branches they list online?

If you apply your certificate at NSO Quezon City, then you will have to claim the certificate there. If you apply via their online system, then it will be delivered to the address you indicated.

Also if you request it in Quezon City it's not instant, is it? I assume you would have to wait a while to pick it up in person?

If you arrive at NSO Quezon City early in the morning and you are applying for a birth cert, marriage cert or death cert, there is a good chance that you will get it on the same day. However, for the cert of no marriage, it may take some time and you might have to go back some other day. You can have someone claim it in your behalf. Just make sure to indicate in the application form that you have authorized someone to claim it for you. That person should have a valid ID and valid ID from you. You can check their website for person who can be authorized to apply/receive the cert.

If I can make a suggestion: you can apply these certificates at the nearest SM department store where you live. You have to go to their Business Center (where you can pay for phone, electric, water bills or for forex). You will also claim it there. You just have to pay an additional 20 pesos per cert for processing fee.

I got my birth cert and cert of no marriage in just 3 days at SM. It saved me the hassle of going to NSO QC and it is a lot cheaper than doing it online.

BE VERY CAREFUL IN FILLING OUT FORMS. TRIPLE CHECK SPELLINGS AND DATES!!!
