Hello guys.... what is Cemar? They said it is Certificate of Marriage... Is it not the same as the Marriage Contract? I went to the NSO site to get that Cemar ahead. Then, i haven't found that one in there.... only CENOMAR, Marriage Contract, Death Cert and Birth Cert. I want to get it online if possible.

pls. help me guys.....

Another member just mentioned it.
It seems to be a certificate showing all your previous marriages and your current one.

I never saw it as a requirement for US VISA. I might be wrong but it is not mentioned in the PDF from USE for K1/K2 visas.
If it is a requirement for K3 it is logically needed for K1, but it is not in the list for it.

A quick search shows as a requirement for other countries' visas.

I don't know how to obtain one from NSO, but it sure exists. Maybe calling NSO.

Cheers,

Carlos.

Try getting a CENOMAR and I believe you will get a CEMAR instead. I'm not sure because I have never done it, but others have reported that is the case.

CEMAR is not a requirement for K-3 visas, it can be useful to order one to see if there is anything odd in your marriage record. Some people have had problems in the past with problems with their CEMAR records showing marriages that never happened because of screw-ups at NSO (or elsewhere) where they were confused with somebody else with a similar name.

Medical Exams – A caller explained that the civil surgeon who completed the medical exam used the wrong form and then wanted to charge an indigent refugee to reprocess the paperwork on the correct form. What recourse does an applicant have if this occurs?

USCIS Response: Customers should notify the Director of their local office when they have a complaint about a civil surgeon.

this topic is a bit old but for those who are still to apply for a K3 visa, please bring with you your CENOMAR/Certificate of marriage aside from your marriage certificate and certificate of live birth. All copies from NSO.

Its the census form 5 i think on Advisory on Marriages.

Thanks.

CEMAR is what the other calls marriage index and USEM will look for that on the day of the interview.

To the OP, get CENOMAR and it will appear in the form whether you are married or not.

I get my CEMAR at the NSO office last Jan. 27 and it took me only an hour only to get that. It depends on how busy is the NSO in your area. If you order it, it will probably took a week or 3 weeks before you can have it.
