Montel,

If the husband is the petitioner, the information you glean here will go to her, then to him and probably won't be the same by the time it reaches him (English - Tagalog - Engish).

Have the husband log on here and ask the questions directly.

If interested in a direct dialog, have the husband email me at: raybacon1@gmail.com and I'll arrange to talk with him by phone and explain all the requirements.

I agree with Ray that the U.S. citizen should log on here and get the information first-hand, rather then playing 'grapevine'. However, with that said she can send him the following links:

CR-1/IR-1: http://travel.state....types_2991.html
K-3: http://travel.state....types_2993.html

Note that the K-3 visa is now no longer as desireable as it once was. The CR-1/IR-1 is generally a better route to go unless the couple believes that being together a month or two earlier is worth extensive added hassle and expense.

Medical Exams – A caller explained that the civil surgeon who completed the medical exam used the wrong form and then wanted to charge an indigent refugee to reprocess the paperwork on the correct form. What recourse does an applicant have if this occurs?

USCIS Response: Customers should notify the Director of their local office when they have a complaint about a civil surgeon.
