Been reviewing cover letters and Ive noticed that in each type of application there is 2 copies of passport style photos, marriage certificate, copy of passport etc.

Example:

I-485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status
▪ Check: Payment in the amount of $1010 (Biometrics fee included)
▪ Copy of Form I-797C Notice of Action (Approval Notice)
▪ Copy of international Birth certificate
▪ Copy of passport (Biographical Page) with nonimmigrant K1visa
▪ Copy of form I-94 (front and back)
▪ Copy of Marriage Certificate
▪ Medical form I-693A(in sealed envelope)
▪ Form G-325A, Biographic Information Sheet
▪ Two (2) passport size pictures

I-864 Affidavit of Support
▪ Federal income tax return, including W-2 for 2007
▪ Letter of employement
▪ Copy of most recent pay stubs
▪ Copy of passport page (US Citizen husband)
▪ Copy of recent Bank Statement

I-131 Application for Travel Document
▪ Copy of Marriage Certificate
▪ Copy of Form I-797C Notice of Action (Approval Notice)
▪ Explanation for Eligibility on a separate sheet
▪ Copy of passport (Biographical Page), with nonimmigrant K1 visa
▪ Copy of form I-94 (front and back)
▪ Two (2) passport size pictures

I-765 Application for Employment Document
▪ Copy of passport (Biographical Page), with nonimmigrant K1 visa
▪ Copy of form I-94 (front and back)
▪ Copy of Marriage Certificate
▪ Two (2) passport size pictures

So do we have to submit 6 copies of passport style photos for the submission of AOS packet? and so with the birth cert, marriage etc.

And is it okay if the bank statement is last years? same statement used for I-129F?

Just want to make sure. Thanks!

The I-485 needs two passport-style photos (not copies of photos, but real photos).

The I-131 needs two passport-style photos (not copies of photos, but real photos).

The I-765 needs two passport-style photos (not copies of photos, but real photos).

I add two of petitioner's pasport photos to th I-485 package, also.

Other supporting docs depend on the form (I-485, I-864, I-765, I-131).

Basically prepare the forms each as if you were going to submit them seperately (possibly with a cover letter for each form, your option). Either put each form with its supporting documents in a seperate folder, or fasten with seperate fasteners (ACCO or whatever), and then put the entire thing in an envelope with a cover letter and send that entire envelope off (don't forget to use a delivery method that uses delivery confirmation, such as Priority Mail).

So, yes you will be including 6 passport photos, but 2 attached to each of those forms.

So, to kind of illustrate:

Medical Exams – A caller explained that the civil surgeon who completed the medical exam used the wrong form and then wanted to charge an indigent refugee to reprocess the paperwork on the correct form. What recourse does an applicant have if this occurs?

USCIS Response: Customers should notify the Director of their local office when they have a complaint about a civil surgeon.

The photos should be attached to the immigration form that asks for them (so attach two to the I-485, two to the I-131, and two to the I-765).

In the affidavit of support, do I need to include my (beneficiary) proof of income, especially the income is as valuable as the petitioner's income in running the household? Also, we are filing in our ITR as "married filing jointly", is this fine?

For the affidavit of support, include a copy of the most currently filed income tax return. Married filing jointly is fine. Adjusted Gross Income is what they will look at in regards to whether it meets or exceeds the income requirement.

MrkGrismer, Im checking the forms and dont really see a box to attach the pic to or you mean to just staple the pics in each form? Im really sorry...this might sound so dumb hehehe.

And for self-employed petitioner do I need more than these?

-I-864 Affidavit of Support
- Federal income tax return, including W-2’s for the years 2005, 2006, 2007
- Copy of Bank Statement
- Copy Birth Certificate (US Citizen husband)
- Copy of Passport (biographical page)
- Two (2) Passport-style photos

Thanks again!

Yes, just staple, tape or paperclip.

Generally for self-employed tax returns are just fine (or transcripts, a little better as they are easier to send, being one-page generally, and they are free anyways). If not a transcript, you need to include:

QUOTE
If you are currently self-employed, a copy of your Schedule C, D, E or F from your most recent Federal Tax Return which establishes your income from your business.

Note that you do not have to submit both the copy of birth certificate and copy of passport, either one is fine by itself. Submitting both won't do any harm tho.

No, they already have a copy of that. You just need the I-693, with the vaccination part filled out by a designated civil surgeon.

The 2008 income tax return should not be asked for until after April 15, 2009.

Also, in point of clarification, they only ask for the current year's income tax return. Currently that is 2007. Submitting more can, however, help to illustrate sustained and/or increasing income.

It shouldn't be asked for but last year 2 peeps I know that filed for AOS in January got RFE for the previous years taxes. Best to file 2008 ASAP and submit them.
