An ask..

irrelevant to the content of this thread but something in the grammar of the topic title...a man asked me..why most of the filipino people use ME instead of I..Me is 58 or Me and hubby...it is not right to say I is 58 or I and hubby.....Sorry for my retard head sad.gif ..just want to know the difference of using Me and I...

Subject vs. Direct Object; "I" is a pronoun that must be the subject of a verb. "Me" is a pronoun that must be the object of the verb. The easiest way to decipher the two is to remove the other noun from the sentence and see if it still makes sense. Thus, "Melody and I went to the store." would be correct; "Me and Melody went to the store." would be incorrect. Never-the-less, both are in common usage. On the other hand, "Please come with Melody and me to the park." is correct, while "Please come with Melody and I to the park." is incorrect. Confusion typically arises when the pronoun is mixed with a proper name through the use of an 'and' contruction. For many people taking out the proper name and the word 'and' can help them determine which to use with the 'and'. Most english speakers know "I went to the store." is correct while "Me went to the store" is incorrect.

Thus ends this PSA (Public Service Announcement).

Oh, and SterlingSilver: English please when outside of the dialect areas (unless you also supply the English translation). (Just put it in parens for those that don't know the word wink.gif ).

Medical Exams – A caller explained that the civil surgeon who completed the medical exam used the wrong form and then wanted to charge an indigent refugee to reprocess the paperwork on the correct form. What recourse does an applicant have if this occurs?

USCIS Response: Customers should notify the Director of their local office when they have a complaint about a civil surgeon.

To this i can reach the difference... biggrin.gif

You sound so desperate to get married,...just by reading your thoughts, I can conclude that you are not living in reality. I don't think you know what you are saying...How would you ever love someone more than yourself when you did not meet that person yet?..You think you are so matured and experienced, believe me, there are more things that you need to explore and being married is more than what you are saying above...My advice is that just be yourself and don't push yourself too hard....Good luck to you!

I agree also. Why rush marriage when you are so young? Take some time get to know each other. Also, take some time to explore life while still single.

so a young woman was my only option to have a child, but will never import one here , 2 of my friends filipina wife,s took off after they had the green card
his mom is 30yo.but unfaithful.i want to have one more hopefully.i will retire next year in pinas.

ohhh... they always say that age doesnt matter with two person who is inlove,,,but if you both love each other even what people gnna say about ur relationship you both still gnna do what you think is good for both of you.. we cant really say something negative about this just cos ur 58.we people dont have the same taste (standard') when it comes to our prince and princes...you your self can feel if its real (genuine)...your the one who make your own destiny,,,,i wish you both happiness...

her being 20 and you being 60 would be a LOT better. VERY few women know diddly squat about themselves, much less about life, at age 18.
